This print was presented to the missile cruiser Chosin from the named host, The Chosin Few, in the naval tradition that ships are presented with a gift from the city, state, or group it was named after. In lieu of the traditional gift of silverware, the named host commissioned Colonel Waterhouse for a visual representation of the conditions, color, and mood at the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War.
